The Old Bookshelf is Kintyre’s leading antiquarian and second-hand bookshop. Offering over 15,000 titles to suit a wide range tastes and pockets, we have something for everyone.

A constantly evolving selection of Scottish antiquarian books is complemented by natural history, topography, military history and children’s books from collectable Victorian titles through to 1950s classic authors. For those looking for some holiday reading, we keep a wide selection of paperbacks in pristine condition covering all genres.

The shop also stocks modern first editions, new local books and a good selection of titles on the whisky industry. Our golf selection is under development with some rarer titles expected soon.
