Established in 1963 by John Craig, the business started as a joiners but over the years John started to sell timber and other goods, moving in 1980 to the present premises with its purpose-built retail shop and workshop.

In 1983 his son Kenny took on the retail side of the business, and since then we have added more services including a cutting service, ironmongery and key cutting.

We stock lightside building materials including timber (dressed and rough), plywood, blockboard, hardboard, plasterboard, felt and mouldings.

Nails, bolts and screws are sold loose – if you want one, buy one. We also have handles, mortice and rim Yale locks, wood stains, varnishes, hinges, wall fixings, and much more. If we do not have what you need, we will try and source it for you.
