Cnoc nan Gabhar - OS NR795385

Start at Port-na-Storm car park on the B879 just outside Carradale. Follow the green posts with the red strip at the top. The paths are all clearly marked and easy to follow. Cnoc nan Gabhar gives a great viewpoint above Carradale and the Kilbrannan Sound. The eastern skyline is formed by the mountains of Arran while to the west rises the moorland interior of the peninsula.

Sally’s walk - OS NR804384

This walk provides a link between The Network Centre and Dippen. Amongst the mixed woodland are alder, spruce, larch and some old pine trees.

Shore walk

Allow 3 hours

Much of this walk follows the forest roads of Carradale forest. The walk links into the car parks at Port-na-Storm and Griannan and to the Network centre. About halfway along the trail the path drops down onto the pebbled beach for about one mile, this section can become flooded at high tide.

Saddell Castle OS NR780313

You can park in the car park just inside the gate and walk down the drive to the castle and enjoy the beach and the view and return the same way.

Black Hill Wood

This walk was the initiated by Naomi Mitchison and Jim McDougall. The  walk starts opposite Portnastorm, into the wood, crossing the Tinkers lane, over the stile and south to the beach.
